"The Social Network."

I guess I'm recommending anothing movie already.  I'm lucky enough to have a bootleg guy who comes into my office every week.  I score almost every movie I want before it comes out.  Anyways, I bought The Social Network.  I had heard bad things, it was slow, it wasn't what people expected...I actually didn't hear anything that good about it.  But it caught my interst.  First off, Jesse Eiseinberg.  He caught my eye in Adventurland, with Kristen Stewart.  Not that good of of a movie or one I would necessarily recommend, but I thought he was cute, in a nerdy sorta way I guess.  His bone structure and maybe voice, makes him attractive to me.  So I was a fan of his already and I don't care what anyone else says about movies, I make my own judgments.  So in the first scene, I was hooked.  I like the character he playes, Mark Zuckerberg.  This guy, this obscure guy, sits down at his compter on a fall night in 2003 and he heatedly began working on a new idea.  Now this guy is an undergrad and computer programming genius at Harvard.  So, in a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a social network and a revolution in communication.  It was only 6yrs & "500,000,000 friends" later, he became and is the youngest billionaire ever. But with rewards comes consequences and legal obligations which his success both led too.  Apparently he stole the idea from two Harvard students when he agreed to create a site called The Harvard Connection and then formed facebook without any of their knowledge while leading them to believe that he was on their side.  He did have a partner, a best friend, the investor if you will call him, Eduardo. A good guy. His only friend.  Apparently, he betrayed him as well.  Now what happened next for me was a surprise...and bam that's when Sean Parker comes into the picture.  And who playes him? Justin Timberlake? I had no idea, so that was a good surprise.  He played that character very well too, someone who was described as paranoid, maybe even dillusional and obviously self-absored.  I'm not really a big fan of music stars starring in movies, but he was great.  And the other few movies he's done were good too.  I don't compare him to an actor like Jesse Eisenberg, but he played the character well.  And for some reason, both characters were very attractive in this movie.  I think it's because their genius's.

Now look at the pic above, those are two confident, smart guys.  Yes Justin T. his hot in general, but someone like Jesse Eisenberg, he has to grow on you.  And it doesn't take much.  He plays a witty, powerful guy/boy!  He doesn't care what people think and exudes confidence, and that what makes him just as attractive as Justin Timberlake in this movie.  The character, Mark Zuckerberg, regardless of the things he did, I really feel was/is a good man inside.  He was just lonely, or at least that's how I read him in the movie.  He was just a smart guy who went to Harvard, started blogging & it went too far.   But, I still say, watch it.
Poor Mark tho, even tho his depositions were almost entertaining due to him being the smartest guy in the court, he had to pay out for who he betrayed.   He was batteling two lawsuits at the same time after Facebook exploded, and exploded is an understatment.  Anyway, I guess I should thank Jesse Eisenberg for nailing a good character and for Sean Parker to be played by Justin.  But/c of them & the movie itself , this now is becoming a "vomit" title for me.  That, meaning that it's another movie and or thing that I've become "passionate" or "obsessed" with.  I can watch it over and over and over.  I wonder if a different actor played Mark, would it be different?
I was always most of the time on his side in this movie.  He was/is just a guy. And he still is the youngest billionaire in history, so I guess not completely poor Mark!
