Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (But all that's on my mind right now are WINTERKATE CLOTHES!)

So It's Thanksgiving morning.  I know I should probably talking about what I'm grateful for this year, but instead I have superfucial thoughts on my mind.   Maybe cuz I know Christmas is so close and it's not that i'm not grateful for this year and my family/friends...but to be honest, it's just really not  my holiday.  I don't have a huge family, so I usually just spend it with my immediate family and my husband.  It's just a little boring, that's all.  And on top of that, I really don't enjoy the turkey dinner...not my cup of coffee.  I know I may sound a little shallow, but I'd like to be honest, so why leave out the details? Later on I will go and have dinner with my family, but it'll be short & hopefully sweet without family drama that always somehow sneaks in somewhere.  :)
Now to where my head is at...Clothes.  Acutually, Nicole Richie and WinterKate. 

I'll start off by saying that I already own 4 of her WinterKate items.  Winterkate is the biggest brand to ever catch my eye.  I've never wanted a COMPLETE collection of someones line.  And I really intend to keep collecting as much as I can, even though it might take a while.  I do completely understand why her items are pricey and unless you're making a lot of dough, you can't just go out and purchase her clothes.  It takes time when some of the items are $285.00 a piece.  But for everyone and out there and to Nicole Richie, I have to say the clothes are worth it. It just drives me mad that I can't get everything I want at ONE time!!!  I have to process of eliminate during xmas time, tell my mother & father to purchase me one item and my husband.  I try to squeeze one or two more from my parents, but like I said all the items that I want from her line are over $200.00, and that's just not feasible I guess.  Although I have a very hard time accepting it, because I'm used to getting what I want.  Damn recession.

Guess that's why I'm still paying off debt, besides a little weed habit, Im a compulsive shopper! I guess that's what I get for having an addictive personality.  I want what I want when I want it NOW!.  Although, we all know that is not reality.  Anyway that's it for today, if I talk about these clothes anymore, I think I'll start crying.  Literally!!!

Besides looking flawless and trendy as usual, you can see in this interview that all her accessories are House of Harlow, even her shoes. I love how Nicole actually wears the products she sells, not just for photoshoots, but in everyday life. You can catch her in her WinterKate & House of Harlow line just by looking at her candids! Bermuda Jail Journal #3

"I'm detached from life here and in my 3rd week, I find myself worrying more for the people I love back home and less about myself.  Even though everytime I pray, I include myself, but more for the days to go by faster, or my face not to break out more than it is here, or my period to go away (having your period in this hellhole sucks!), and to take my fears away, wash away my sins and to have more faith. 
Isn't that what my LOVING mother always told me? That I am one of God's children?  I pray twice a day here, sometimes more...like with my father for example.  He's supposed to come visit me while there may be a storm, a bad storm, so I pray that he'll be protected.  Truthfully though, even though I'm kinda used to the girls, the routine here, like my chores, outside rec time and a regimented schedule, I want to get out of Bermuda and never come back.  Hey, I'm not allowed back for 7yrs anyway! Thank God, for that!
The food sucks, although I eat because I have too and the one thing I do think of and smile is that I think I'm losing weight here.  My hands cramping up and I want to go back to reading...there are still long hours left in this day. 
And still I have yet to write about some crazy stuff in here, like Bermuda's corrupted law system, "The Bride of Satan/and or Frankenstein" (Harvey), how theres no trust in anyone here.  Not even the guards.  And also I've haven't really wrote about my friendships with Tanya & Raina, maybe my only two friends here.  I got their information and they have mine so MAYBE I'll continue my friendships with them.  Especially Tanya - my fellow New Yorker who took 4yrs in here on some bullshit weed charge, while taking the blame for her friend so she wouldn't lose her kid.  She's 37 yrs old, which I can't believe it cuz she looks my age! She's such a soldier and she's so young spirited.  Her laughter fills the echoing halls and she tries to find the positive in everything.  She's so young at heart and has been here for so long already.  I could never do 4 yrs!!! She doesn't deserve it like some of the others I've mentioned before.  But more on that later, I want to read now. 
All I do know is that PRISON is nothing like rehab.  Everything is an inconvience.  That's because we're prisoners, not guests.  I've learned that all to well...I'll elaborate later! I still want to write about the stuff I have in here, what I don't have like good deodarant for example which THEY provided that is blantantly marked "MAXIMUM SECURITY", just like the shampoo they provided.
Thank God for Cantine - again.  Cantine is every other Thursday, which is almost a shopping list where we can buy label name toiletries, smokes, etc...with the little money we make from our chores, or if family can fill up your Cantine account while you're inside. But it's still not enough.  All inconviences.  I am a prisoner!!!
But God, most of all, PLUS MY MEDS, have helped me ease my mind and body as i've done my time slowly.  Everything, every hour, feels like an eternity. 
I mean I have one week left, not including both weekends (which are the LONGEST days of your life!), and I still feel like I'm never coming home."


Well anyone who can keep up with these jibberish journals and some crazy girl "talking" to herself via journal is really awesome, cuz sometimes when I'm looking back and typing up these entries, I can see that my mind was all over the place, jumping from topic to topic.  So stay tuned for more entries from this dramatic event in my life and hopefully they will all come together at the end and make some sense! Bermuda Jail Journal #2.

I started blogging about my time in a Bermuda prison 3yrs ago.  I kept a journal so the experience would always be with me, plus there was nothing to do there except for read and write! I read mostly! Anyway, I'm continuing with my second entry.  Refer to the article below the entry to find out why I was there in the first place.

"I've paid for my mistakes I feel, but I truly THINK that I've accepted Jesus in my life and he's accepted me back.  I'm not sure my prayers are heard, but it feels good to pray anyway.  Although I know I only pray when I'm in pain. 
I need to roll a cigarette....BRB! (actually 3, thank God for the Samson Tobacco, cause cigs are very very limited and someone always wants one!) I am not afraid to say no to people, and I'm not really generally scared here.  Definitely a bit paranoid, especially since I'm not from here.  Only Raina, TiTi and of course my girl Tanya are the only pple from the states.  I'll tell you more in a minute, it's just that we're on lockdown right now and I want to get some reading done.  Even though it's ALL I do in here!
THATS WHY I HAVEN'T WRITTEN MORE, BUT DON'T WORRY I'LL NEVER FORGET THESE PEOPLE OR THIS EXPERIENCE.
Another thing I hear the girls say in her are "girls come in and girls go out." By the way, I like Gina, the new girl.  I mentioned her before.  She came in a week after me, she has 8 mnths in here plus probation, like most of the girls. 
I'm grateful for when my time comes to an end, my life will have some kinda new beginning, a new faith.  Like my new life with Pat, my future husband to be, my family.  To make my wrongs a right and show them how grateful I am for them and also promise to try and not take them for granted again, but i'll never say never.  I know my pot habit will continue, but maybe with less interest - although that's the one thing I doubt about myself.  God knows I haven't thought about it in here, for 30 days! Which may seem like nothing compared to the time the other girls have to spend in here.  One woman 14yrs! But i realize I have to stop minimalizing my feelings about being here for JUST 30 days.  My sentence was shorter than anyone has seen in a long time, some inmates have said to me.  A month out of my life has been taken away from me, but haven't I always thought that I deserve the worse, no matter how much havoc and chaos that goes on back home?"

Reading these entries now, I can see that I'm talking to myself kinda.  I'm all over the place, I've become spiritual b/c prayers are all I had.  I went to church there...luckily I was able to attend that.  I wasn't qualifed to take any classes during my time, due to it being to short.  30 days was not enough, so when the other girls, who were doing more time, were all off doing classes like arts & crafts, and other stuff to keep them occupied between breakfast, lunch, dinner & bed, I was reading and reading, rolling cigs for rec time and that's that.  Im happy I read a lot of books though.  I'll be listing them later on.  I also realized my journal is really long, but since I didn't date my entries it's all just one blur.  So that's why I'm breaking them up like so.  And as mentioned before refer to the link below to see WHY i was in prison.

My Foot note on Finding Clothes Online...

Since fashion is obviously one of my many topics on here, I just want to clarify a few things.  First off, I know this blog isn't one of the best blogs out there.  I don't know how to link a the brands I write about to a website (in laymens terms for me I guess, the brands I talk about aren't highlighted in Blue, like I wanted them to be.  I don't know how to do it!)  So, when I talk about my clothes, celebs clothes, or I mentioned brands before like JET, Jbrand, Siwy, LNA, if you're interested in a specific product or just that brand itself, please go to my celebrity fashion toolbar on the side of this blog.  I've listed the best sites to purchase the clothing I'll be talking about.  And trust me the few brands I named above are just a snippet compared to all the other brands I'll be mentioning throughout this. 

And if you can't find what you're looking for thru the links I have listed, you can always do what I do to look for clothes too.  Go to these two websites that I've said before, http://www.celebritystyleguide.com/, http://www.jessicastyle.com/, or http://www.singer22.com/. Maybe I can be a little over the top when it comes to celebrity fashion.  But I can't afford the really big brands like balenciaga or Alexander MQueen. You'll see that I have to mix kinda expensive with reasonable prices as well.  But my obsession with celebrity fashion will take you anywhere, even if you don't want to dress like one.  The sites that I mentioned before and I will keep mentioning will help you find clothes on the internet easier.  You can find cheap AND expensive on those sites.  Like I said, it's not about price, it's about presentation.  For example, the boots shown below are Nine West, not Loeffler or Chanel. 

Anyway, that was my tip on purchasing clothes online. Take it or leave it! :)

Bermuda Jail Journal #1.

Before, I prefaced an event in my life with an article about myself.  If you have read by now, this article is about me getting arrested in Bermuda.  This was one of the most crazy experiences of my life and when I was down there, all I thought about was coming home of course, but now that I've been in and out, I def don't regret this experience.  Not many pple can say they went thru that.  If you haven't read the article, the link will be below my entry. 
So when I did my 30 days in Bermuda Prison, I finally got a journal after 2 weeks of being there.  My case worker was supposed to come down and talk to me, but she only saw me that ONCE in a month.  So I started to write about everything I could think of, the stuff I knew I couldn't forget.  A lot of it honestly is me talking to myself! So here we go, entry #1.  I also did not date these journal entries, I kinda wish i had.

"The first thing I thought of when I was brought here, was a quote from the HBO show The Wire.  Avon Barksdale had always said one thing about prison..."there's only two days in prison, the day you get in and the day you get out."  I thought of that for a minute, but it is obviously much easier said than done especially since it was coming from a Tv character "gangsta".  :) I can't imagine being here more than 30 days, hell I can't believe I'm gonna survive 30 days!  Maybe b/c I'm a 25yr old kid, I don't know.  Maybe b/c I'm not in the states. 
Ive only made about two friends in here.  Yes i am the ONLY white girl, which is OK, but still.  I ment Tanya and Raina.  Besides them, you can't trust anyone in here.  This whole place is full of whispers and lies.  I want to do my time and leave quietly - no conflict.  Like I said, I am the only white girl in here (and Im still not sure if that's good for me).  I will not be taken advantage of in here by new girls, or the wacked ones like Harvey aka The bride of Frankenstein, Felicia aka crazy schizo, Burgess aka the embezzler and now Gina, a local girl who seems like she wants to get in trouble. 
This girl named TiTi is great and I like this woman from Queens, Alemor b/c she doesn't talk to me and that's fine.  I'm not sure who I'm really cool with at all, I mean it's jail.  Definitely no friends, but i'll never see them again.  The "bermudians" all know each other or are either related to each other in some way, it's like an inbred country and it's sickening.  Anyway I feel like some pple are nice to my face but i'm positive they're talking about me behind my back.  I know b/c the girls I did talk to were always talking about someone else!
My faith, (I think I have faith), doesn't make me fret over the things I've heard in here or seen.  It can be an ugly, ugly place but sometimes it can be beautiful.  Anyway i don't want to write anymore tonight, lockdown is soon and I want to fall asleep right away.  But first I need to preroll my cigs....shit I miss home."

That entry, sometime in September and early October, (I was released Oct.13, 2007), I was 25.  I'm 28 now, so 3yrs ago I did my time.  A lot of the journal is jibberish and I haven't read this since I got out.  This is theraputic, reading the journal....writing and publishing it.  Even for a blog, yes.  Stay tuned for my next entries throughout the weeks.  And for all you who are behind....read my article below.

My tank happens not to be LNA, but Mossimo from Target my mom picked up from me.  Although I am a fan of LNA, their just pricey tees/tanks.  So I buy their tees, but I try to get cheaper tanks if I can.  I am wearing the Siwy shorts and I was lucky enough to get the scarf from Urban.  Now I know it looks like the extreme here, like I'm trying to dress exactly like her.  But that's not in all cases true.  You'll see, as this blog goes on, maybe I'll be wearing something that has inspired me from HER wardrobe.  Not necessarily the entire outfit.  But like I said, I've been following her style for awhile and it just keeps on getting better, im not sure who else could influence me to dress like them or even write about it! LOL! Thank you, Nicole Richie.
And since vintage casual is really popular right now, skinny jeans, shorts with just tee-shirts now are soo in. And scarves? Well they are never going out of style, this particular one is different, but the main brand of scarves you'll see celebs wearing are Lovequote scarves, or Tolani scarves. Also @ Singer 22.

When I hear this song, it always brings me back to the first time Kelly Taylor and Dylan McKay kissed, while Brenda Walsh was off in Paris with Donna.

I've always been a huge Beverly Hills 90210 fan.  I watched it every night when it was on channel 5 with Melrose Place following it.  Anyone who are still fans of this old, classic show, knows that one of the best storylines was the breakup of Dylan & Brenda and the beginning of Kelly & Dylan.  It all started at the beach club....

Introduction to a "khaotic" event in my life. An article is a good start.

I'm posting this article that was printed about me, to introduce you to an experience in my life that no one usually believes.  I've been arrested twice. Once was in Bermuda.  Yes everyone, Bermuda! Not in the country!
So during this blog, along with entertainment and fashion and all that kinda stuff, but I also said I would talk about me cuz this is what it's all about.  My life.  I wanted this blog to be about ANYTHING I wanted it to be.   That's why I feel like i will get scattered, but hopefully, (if pple are actually out there follwing:)), there will be no problem keeping up.  Or at least make the posts interesting enough that you'll want to keep reading!
So I've talked a lot about fashion and Nicole Richie and I still will talk about that, as well as I said before Anne Boleyn & The Tudors, which I have not gotten into yet b/c Im gonna need a week to talk about that! Those are def my fave two topics to talk about, and then there's me.  So read this article and we'll leave off for now.  But this article is a start to a daily/weekly post I will be doing as well as the weekly fashion dressing like a celebrity posts I mentioned earliar.

NICOLE RICHIE STREET STYLE - This clip always makes my heart jump a little b/c I want to possess her wardrobe, & watching her street style helps me combine my own style with hers.

And most of the jeans you see on Nicole in this video are the JET jeans i mentioned before and we will dive deeper into those kinda labels.  Besides JET, you'll also catch Nicole in a lot of Siwy denim & Paige Premium denim.  So, of course, those are my fave brand of jeans as well.  I also love Jbrand, which we won't get into now:)

So I just spent at least 3 hrs changing templates on this thing to make it look better.  Damn, there are soo many options, it's really hard to choose what you want.  I guess most pple have a vision when they first sit down and create something like this.  I had no vision, just my voice.  So I'm doing the best I can with fonts, layouts, and tons of other settings to get the proper links, pages, pics & all the other stuff that's important to me and hopefully will be important to you.  I want to make this as user-friendly as possible...and I've realized if I just want to post something, post it.  I shouldn't be worrying about how it looks, especially since I'm doing this for myself and to bring up some kinda self worth that was lost somewhere along my years. 
But being just who I am, I can't stop obsessing over the way it looks.  "Does it look childish?", "Is Pink too much for the background?"!...Why am I asking myself this!

I know Im jumping from one topic to another, but hey its my blog. LOL.
I have an inner stylist just dying to come out of me.  I dispatch for my real job at my father's company, but fashion is a huge passion and I want to share what I love about it, my opinions, pictures, etc...

Now just by looking at my blog, I bet you can tell who my style icon is.  That's right everyone, Nicole Richie.  Her bohemian style combined with HER OWN clothing and jewelry line, WinterKate & House of Harlow, has swept me off my feet!
See, I live and die by http://www.celebritystyleguide.com/.  This website can give girls the opportunity to dress like their favorite stars.  Check it out.  If you want to look dress like Megan Fox, or a Gossip Girl, this is the site to use.  I first noticed her House of Harlow jewelry line about a year before I got married to my lovely husband.  It was just coming out on the scene, before her clothing line did and all her items were a "must have", in my book!  Although her items are and can be pricey, I was determined to get all of her stuff, one by one if I had too!  (Im still collecting!)

The first item I bought was the famous Black Plated Necklace.  I knew I wanted to wear that necklace at my wedding.  Yes it's an uncoventional necklace for a wedding, but I'm an uncoventional girl who got married in Vegas, b/c I couldn't deal with the stress of planning a huge wedding!  There was no big white wedding dress, just a short, white, classy Shoshana dress with gold heels and to my utter excitment, the Black Plated Necklace, which stole the show.  Shown above.

The necklace is hands down one of my fave items, so I went further and bought the feathered plated necklace shown above.  See, wow fashion does make me happy...i love wearing the same things that the celebs do!!! :)  And as you can see in this post, the first pic I posted of Nicole, she doubled up both of the necklaces like so, so I took a note from her and tried it myself.  Perfect, of course.
